Southwest’s air specials might not be so special

A round of airline ticket sales has brought airfare prices down across the board. But one popular travel guru is calling out Southwest Airlines for what he considers to be misleading advertising. Tom Parsons is calling Southwest’s latest travel special a “Bah Humbug air fare sale” because of fine print that might limit the ability of families to travel over the holidays. While Southwest is offering special one-way fares from $59 to $109 from now through early January 2010, fine print shows that the deals are not as good as you might think. There are 26 black out dates, the majority of which are clustered around the holidays.
