Rome is one of the leading tourist destination sites in the world. People take out Rome vacations for different reasons. Some come to Rome for religious functions or pilgrimages while others come to sample the various attractions that the city has to offer. A recent survey reported Rome plays host to over 10 million tourists each year. In addition to the sights in Rome, tourists can also visit the other cities of Italy for Italy sightseeing. Sightseeing expeditions can be taken to the cities of Venice and Milan. The latter has numerous canals that traverse the city. Cities such as Lucca and Siena have rich cultural heritage while the wild parks such as the Monti della National park has rare species of wildlife. Scuba diving is an incredible sport. We are able to visit some of the most majestic and breathtaking places on the planet while physically entering another medium, a portion of earth’s surface that modern technology has allowed us to penetrate. What was once impossible is becoming commonplace. And one of the greatest spots in the world for scuba diving are the Cayman Islands. Grab a ticket, your equipment, and a grand cayman rent-a-car, and allow the adventure to begin.
There are some amazing ways to explore the islands. While some folks use bicycles or scooters to get around, these modes of transportation aren’t really ideal for scuba divers, especially those seeking to enter the water from the shore. Adding in the weight and storage of a suit, BC, weight belt, tanks, and the like, the optimum mode of transportation can be taken care of by grand cayman car rentals. And this isn’t just for the diver, but also for the standard tourist interested in the sights and sounds of the Cayman Islands.
From the USS Kittiwake to the Great Wall, there are some impressive things to see and experience in Cayman. In addition, there is also a thriving shopping and tourist industry, including an exciting night life filled with all manner of clubs and restaurants. Where initially the islands were only set up for the diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, the tourist industry has flourished to include all manner of visitors, from the divers to individuals who want to enjoy a tropical island getaway. There is something here for everyone.
For scuba divers, Cayman is a serious destination. From the relative ease at finding a dive master or diving boat excursions, there are all manner of sights and areas to explore. Imagine feeding relatively tame stingrays from your very hands, exploring the Great Wall with it’s bottomless crevasse, or the majesty of watching hammerhead sharks float lazily in the water. Imagine exploring an undersea wreckage or going on deeper dives to explore rare reefs and brilliant sea life. It could even be argued that for the relative size of the islands, Cayman offers more in diving sites than any other place in the world. And these are just a few of the adventures waiting for you at this family friendly vacation spot.
To see everything the islands have to offer, consider transportation rentals. For the standard tourist, there is nothing more fun than renting a Vespa to speed around the island’s many roads and areas. But for you divers out there, we recommend a car to get the most out of your time on vacation.
India is a spectacular place to visit. This incredible country offers delicious food, reasonable travel expenses, and amazing shopping. In addition, India offers plenty of exciting festivals to take part in. A great one is Holi. Holi is a Hindu festival of colors which takes place in the spring. According to the Hindu calendar, it takes place during the full moon.
Long before trendy Western events like the Color Run popped up all over the United States, Holi has been taking place for ages. There are different parts of the event, but the main activity is the throwing of colored powders. Holi is like the equivalent of the water fights that you used to have as a kid, except with color and thousands of people!
The festival is fun for locals and tourists alike. Just be warned that you shouldn’t wear an outfit that you’re scared of ruining!
Holi is about a lot more than just having a giant color fight. First, Holi kicks off the start of the new season in spring and says goodbye to winter. In the old days it was a festival that celebrated a good harvest. The colored powders are meant to honor the colors of spring. Holi also serves a religious purpose for the Hindu religion. It is an event that’s meant to honor the life of the Hindu god, Vishnu.
Holi brings people from all different walks of life together. The weeks of the festivals in India are some of the only times when people forget about the caste system and gender roles. The event brings friends and family members together and helps people unite despite their differences. Everywhere you walk, you see people wishing each other a “Happy Holi!” and giving each other hugs. It is also not uncommon to see friends exchanging gifts during Holi.
Holi allows tourists the opportunity to truly experience Indian culture at its finest. Just don’t forget to do your laundry before heading home.

India is home to delicious cuisine, one of the most colorful and unique film industries in the world, and some astounding places to visit, such as the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one of the “new” Seven Wonders of the World, and there’s a reason why it’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. I visited the Taj Mahal a few years ago, and was blown away by the architectural beauty.
A little history: The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor, Shan Jahan, as a way of honoring his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The construction involved thousands of architects and craftsmen. It began in 1632 and wasn’t completed until nearly twenty years later.
The rest of the history behind the Taj Mahal offers plenty of scandal. While there are rumors that are not necessarily based on an accurate account, it is said that the emperor ordered that the chief architect, Ustad Ahmad Lahauri, have his hands cut off after the completion of the project. As the legend goes, Shan Jahan didn’t want anyone to be able to build similar masterpieces.
When you’ve had enough time touring the historical side of this beautiful country, make sure to try some of the traditional Indian dishes. Curries, chapattis, dals, and samosas are just a few of the delicious treats to try when visiting this Southern Asian country. Definitely make sure to watch a few Bollywood films when you’re over there as well.
