The Hazards of Leaving Your Cayman Islands Property Without a Minder

May 15, 2015 by · Leave a Comment

Many of the property owners in the Grand Cayman area don’t live at their properties all year long. Some choose to hold on to their properties without living on the island all year long. If those owners fail to hire a Cayman residential property management company, there are several hazards the property faces if left alone.

Bugs

Grand Cayman condo rentals can get bugs if the owner does nothing to prevent that from happening. Bugs are naturally deterred by people living in a space. When owners are away, measures like bug barriers and sprays have to be taken or else the home can get overrun. If you’re trying to rent your property to others, this is unsightly and will lead to poor reviews that won’t make your rental business last long.

Mold

Moisture is prevalent in the air around Grand Cayman, and commercial and residential property is especially susceptible. Cayman commercial property management looks out for mold and runs the air conditioner to help dehumidify the space and keep it mold free. That means safer breathing conditions for tenants. Residential owners should do the same.

Property Value

All of these hazards add up. Unkempt property means fewer tenants, which means less money to spend on renovations. Overtime, that means lower property values.

Your investment in Cayman Islands real estate improves more over time if you are willing to reinvest. The Cayman Islands remain one of the most sought after tourist destinations in the world thanks to a particular standard of aesthetic.

Secrets that cruise operators won’t tell you

Interior cabins of cruise ships are made of metal. When you go on a cruise bring along some magnets and you can pin lots of paper to cabin walls to remind you of cocktail party invites, dinner reservations, daily planners and many others.

We carry lots of gadgets with us these days including smartphones, laptops and many others. Your window and sunlight less room may come with few outlets to plug them in. Check before you go onboard whether the cruise liner allows you to carry multiport outlet and whether it is compatible with the system onboard. You may also ask your cabin steward for a power strip.

You can use the TV in your cabin to bring sunlight into your room. Set the TV to the bridge cam station and turn off sound. It will bring outside sunlight into your cabin instantly.

We tend to carry more than we need for the cruise and storing them become a problem. Check for hidden storage spaces under the bed, inside ottoman, behind the mirror or even inside a couch.

Seasickness is a problem for many travelers. Before buying medication check with the crew; they usually give it to you free. Free green apples works for many.

For those of you with families or who are planning to start one soon, you will absolutely love the fact that Richmond is home to such a great school system and is extremely safe. You’ll love bringing up your children here and they’ll always be grateful for the memories of Richmond (they might even decide to stay when they become adults).

Those who are unfamiliar with the area should definitely take a trip here first and check out Virginia as a tourist. Like so many people, you’ll probably find that one visit is enough to make you fall in love with this area. Of course, if it’s not, just keep coming back for more.

With so much to offer, it’s not hard to see why so many people have decided to make Richmond, Virginia their permanent home.
